GENERAL

GAMEPLAY

• Reduced the effectiveness of the "Cut to Basket Pass"

• Addressed a rare hang that could occur in the Dunk Contest
• Reduced the effectiveness of the sprint crossover in Magic Johnson’s dribble style

CITY/PRO-AM/REC/THEATER

• Many improvements to performance, stability, and visuals have been made to enhance the overall experience in the City
• Addressed a rare hang that could occur when accessing the Equipment menu in the City
• Fixed an issue causing the camera to be briefly blocked during jump ball situations in REC games
• The court status map can now be scrolled for full view while in a shootaround on the ELITE affiliation courts
• The default MyPLAYER camera can now be selected again once toggled away from during Starting 5 games
• Skill boosts, including the Additional Turbo Meter, will now be properly utilized in Starting 5 games

MyCAREER/QUESTS/PROGRESSION

• Multiple fixes and adjustments have been made to improve the overall quest experience and ensure proper progression and quest completion throughout the mode
• Resolved a hang that could occur when gameplay re-started too quickly following certain record-breaking cinematic sequences
• Fixed a rare progression blocker that could occur during the offseason when selecting a new team to sign with
• Resolved a timing-specific issue that could cause control of MyPLAYER to be lost if GOAT Mode activation occurs just before a stoppage in play

MyTEAM

• Fixed an issue that prevented some Evolved or shoe/badge boosted Player Cards from receiving those boosts in Triple Threat Online: Co-Op games
• The Triple Threat Online: Co-Op score overlay will no longer swap scores at the end of a game
• Adjustments have been made to the audio for crowd reactions in Triple Threat modes
• When using the Exchange from the Duplicates or My Collection menu, a delay has been added when using the “Short Press and Hold” setting to avoid accidental exchanges
• Addressed a conflict between Coach Boosts and Dynamic Duos in certain gameplay situations
• Added support for additional card types like Coach Cards as Collection Rewards in the Player Market
• Resolved an issue preventing Shoe Cards from being applied to some Player Cards

MyNBA/THE W

• Various stability fixes and improvements have been made for MyNBA, MyNBA Online, and The W
• Adjusted the logic so that players are more likely to have interest in signing extensions
• Fixed a rare hang that could occur if an overtime game ends on a made free throw in a game with the sudden death rule in place
• The Assists Possession Result slider can now be adjusted as expected independently from the Player Regression Rate slider
• Option years will now be correctly highlighted when viewing contract details on player cards
• City edition courts will no longer appear for In-Season Tournament games when City edition jerseys are chosen by the home team
• Resolved an issue that could cause the Broadcast camera view to be partially obstructed by the fans when playing in the In-Season-Tournament arena
• Postgame celebration sequences will now appear as expected when winning the WNBA Championship in The W

GAMEPLAY

• Standing Meter Dunks will now properly use the Standing Dunk rating instead of Driving Dunk to determine the green window size
• Dunk meter logic has been updated to make the window size better reflect dunk difficulty
• Fixed an issue in the on-ball steal system that forced the ball to yo-yo back to the previous ball hand midway through a crossover or behind back move
• Improved foot planting to reduce unwanted out of bounds violations when shooting near the sidelines
• When blockers jump early and land on ball handlers or shooters, fouls will now be called 100% of the time
• Better shot coverage detection for OPEN vs. WIDE OPEN
• Slight buff to close shots, wide open jump shots, and Limitless Range badge
• Fixed an exploit that allowed players to double dribble by alley-oop/fake passing to no one in 1v1 games
• Removed pass interceptions on Right Stick UP as it was being abused for easy steals with no risk
• Updated Adrenaline system to account for successfully stopping post moves and no longer consume boosts when driving directly toward the rim
• Fixed a minor aesthetic issue with Klay Thompson’s jump shot
• Addressed a rare issue in which the ball can get stuck on the stanchion
• Changed the Heat Check and Recharge player indicator icons to only display when relevant
• Limited the distance from which rebounds can branch to putbacks
• Fixed an issue that was causing putbacks and mid-air jelly layups to be classified as covered even when no defenders were nearby
• Improved the responsiveness of stopping when setting a screen
• Updated "griefing" logic to differentiate good vs. bad full court shots and also account for players with high grades
• Fixed "Excessive Violations Committed" event from firing off multiple times incorrectly, "Good Defensive Possession" incorrectly firing on free throws, "Lazy Defense" now includes camping out of bounds, and improved "Bad Timeout" logic for Teammate Grade
• Addressed a rare issue preventing players from being able to break out of a certain pass animation

GENERAL

• Numerous enhancements to the UI have been made across all modes to improve the overall experience
• Continued updates and adjustments have been made to improve face scan results and stability when using the MyNBA2K companion app
• Fixed a user-reported issue that prevented certain previously equipped layup and dunk animations from being assigned when editing a player
• Resolved a hang that could occur when editing tattoos in the Create A Player menu
• Commentary, music, crowd, and ambient audio will now be properly heard in player control games in Play Now Online Changing the unit of measurement will now function as intended

• Many improvements to performance, stability, and visuals have been made to enhance the overall experience in the City
• Made changes to reduce user-reported latency during multiplayer games in the City
• Squads are now able to chat when waiting on Got Next circles
• Progression earned in Pro-Am and Starting 5 games will now be retained if the opposing player(s) leaves the game
• Visuals on the ELITE Court Status menu have been improved so that all courts are more easily readable
• Custom shoes will now appear in the Rec clothing category as intended
• Stats will now properly appear on the Team Matchup overlay when playing Pro-Am games
• The get on/get off animations for various vehicles have been sped up
• Fixed a rare issue that could cause the loading icon to appear indefinitely when in the City
• Resolved a rare timing issue that could cause players to show up as invisible after accepting an invite
• Players appearing on the Social menu can now be directly joined when in an available state

• The Player Market has been updated to clearly show discounts when buying a set and a fix for displaying non-player card collection rewards
• On the MyTEAM Home Tab, a notification icon has been added to the Seasons button when there are unclaimed Season Level Awards
• Fixed a rare issue that prevented some players from using valid lineups
• Triple Threat modes will now use the score overlay used in other MyTEAM modes
• Green release camera cuts have been disabled in multiplayer games
• Multiplayer modes have had their total pauses and number of timeouts reduced:
  • Unlimited – 5 Timeouts – 6 Pauses
  • Salary Cap – 3 Timeouts – 4 Pauses
  • Clutch Time Online – 2 Timeouts – 4 Pauses
  • Triple Threat Online – 4 Pauses
• Timeouts in Unlimited & Salary Cap modes will now be 30 seconds in length
• Ensured automatic substitutions respect a player card’s primary and secondary position
• The in-game Coach Boosts system has been updated to allow for new triggers

• Various stability fixes and improvements have been made for MyNBA, MyNBA Online, and The W
• Various improvements have been made to player generation and progression, particularly to have more generated players reach higher overall ratings
• The variety of available staff in MyNBA has been increased to help improve the offseason period
• Fixed an issue in MyNBA that would cause the commentary to talk about franchise records being broken too frequently when playing with an expansion team
• Addressed a hang that could occur in the offseason when using a downloaded expansion team
• Downloaded draft classes can now be edited as expected when outside of MyNBA
• Resolved an issue that could cause certain players in MyNBA to be updated to younger heads rather than older ones when an age likeness update occurs
• Players replaced with the Player DNA feature will no longer revert to the original player when an age likeness update occurs
• The proper standings rules will now be used when starting a save in the LeBron Era in MyNBA
• The G League can now be disabled when starting in the LeBron and Kobe Eras in MyNBA
• All-Rookie teams in MyNBA will now always have a full 10 players selected
• Addressed an issue in MyNBA that could cause players to show up in the Hall of Fame and jersey retirement lists without having officially retired
• Resolved a hang that could occur when replacing the Finals MVP when in Playoffs mode

• The Gameplay Difficulty setting will now update as expected when changed within MyNBA Online
• Resolved an issue preventing various stat overlays from appearing during Jordan Era games in MyNBA
• The simulator will now correctly follow the NBA/WNBA rule for which team gets possession at the start of each quarter
• Modern day hashtag signs will no longer appear in the crowd in older Eras games
• The team names that were previously reversed will now appear correctly above the player lists in the Trade Finder Results menu
• The Northwest Division will now properly appear when sorting by division in the NBA Standings menu
• Fixed a variety of animation and other visual issues with the pregame and postgame sequences in The W Online

Developer Note: We are continuing to work towards resolving the most user-impacting issues being reported. The team is currently working on an all-encompassing patch that will be releasing in early-mid October. That patch will contain fixes and improvements spanning the entire game, including a number of community-reported items that required a longer internal testing runway.

GAMEPLAY

• Tightened up perimeter defensive coverage checks to reduce "ghost contests"
• Increased the make window size of open meter dunks

CITY/PRO-AM/REC/THEATER

• A number of fixes to overall game stability while in the City have been made to improve user experience
• Resolved an issue at the end of Rec games that would send the user to the game’s main menu following a black screen
• Functionality and stability improvements have been made to the Social Menu as we work to provide a more seamless experience

MyCAREER/QUESTS/PROGRESSION

• The RISE-specific Heat Check Booster has been adjusted to activate after 3 made shots in a row rather than 5
• Fixed a user-reported issue that caused an indefinite hang when attempting to load a MyCAREER save
• Resolved a rare issue preventing rewards from being received upon the completion of some quests, including Rebirth and certain Badge Perks
• Closed a loophole that could cause issues getting through the offseason when attending practice after the final game of the NBA season
• Made some adjustments to ensure that Flashback games can be played at any time during the NBA season

MyCAREER / QUESTS / RIVALS

• On Court accessories should now properly display in Away games in MyCAREER.
• Fixed an issue where players would receive an error code when attempting to complete quests in the "Tour De Force" quest line. Players should now be able to receive the rewards correctly.
• The Celtics Hardwood banner rewarded from the '64-'65 Boston Celtics Rivals match will now display correctly.
• Fixed an issue where quest bars would incorrectly show the same progress when scrolling through the quest menu.

MyTEAM

• Fixed a crash that could occur when transitioning from the Compare Player screen to flipping the coach card.
• Player images should now be seen on the Clutch Time and the Clutch Time Online home screens after winning a Clutch Time Online game.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

• Adjusted the Season XP post-game reward to properly adjust with Teammate Grade.
• Fixed a rare issue where a player could become stuck in 1v1 Ante-Up games.
• Fixed a rare crash that could occur when exiting the MyTEAM theater in the Galleria.
• Several improvements in players' appearances in the Neighborhood when viewed at a distance.

CLOTHING

• Blazers should now appear when equipped.
• Resolved an issue where multiple NBA and WNBA jerseys would appear as brown shirts when viewed/equipped.
• Fixed an issue that could cause a player's torso to appear invisible when equipping a short-sleeved compression shirt with a jacket.
• Fixed an issue where undershirts could appear as brown shirts to other players.
• The waist and neck submenus now display correctly in the clothing menu.

MAMBA MOMENTS

• Resolved an issue where the introduction overlay would not disappear if the user paused the game during the introduction.

Developer Note: We are working quickly to resolve the most user-impacting issues being reported. Feedback from the community has been quick and clear; we thank you.The patch we will release prior to the launch of Season 2 will contain a much broader set of fixes and improvements spanning the entire game.

GAMEPLAY

• Fixed an issue that was causing physics to break when using controllable rim hangs in certain situations

THE CITY

• Numerous fixes to game stability in the City have been made
• Resolved a user-reported stutter when playing games on the RISE affiliation courts
• You can now properly join a friend in the Gatorade Rental Courts when using the Social Menu

MyCAREER/QUESTS/PROGRESSION

• Adjusted the Minimizer quest so it is easier for all player types to complete
• Fixed a rare issue that could cause a hang when loading into a MyCAREER save
• Addressed an issue that could prevent advancement to the second NBA season
• Resolved a hang when heading to the arena floor before NBA games
• Michael Jordan can no longer be passed on the GOAT tier list before winning your 7th championship
• Users can no longer apply the same Floor Setter to more than one badge.

MyTEAM

• Resolved user-reported issues with games played after playing Triple Threat Online: Co-Op games
• Lowered the difficulty of Triple Threat Online: Co-Op games against the CPU to Pro
• Added the ability to select a lineup before entering Triple Threat Online: Co-Op

MyNBA

• Resolved a hang that could occur in the Trade Finder menu when exiting and re-entering under certain conditions
• Fixed an issue that could cause the Warriors to get rebranded incorrectly going into future seasons in MyNBA
