On 8/13/2024 at approximately 1823 hours, Troopers responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in Wasilla. Investigation determined that Gary Seltenreich, age 63, of Wasilla damaged property that belonged to a household member. Seltenreich was subsequently arrested for Criminal Mischief V and transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility with no bail pending arraignment.

On 08/13/2024 at approximately 1758 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a past domestic disturbance in the Fairbanks area. Subsequent investigation revealed that Miles Dinstel, 39 of Fairbanks, committed two felony offenses of assault in the third degree when he rapidly drove his truck toward two family members who were walking along the roadway. Both victims were able to get off the roadway in time to avoid a collision.

On 8/13/24 at about 2029 hours, AST Parks Hwy Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 2008 Honda sedan in Healy on Coal Street for speeding and driving on the wrong side of the road. Investigation revealed the driver SISOUPHANH DONGTAVAN (age 61 of Healy) was driving under the influence of alcohol with a revoked license and without insurance. DONGTAVAN was arrested for DUI, processed, and remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center with bail set at $1000.

Update:On August 10, 2024, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a sexual assault from a female staying at the LaQuinta Inn in Fairbanks. AST investigation revealed that employee Tristen Tinker tried to contact the victim several times but that she refused to open the hotel door. Tinker eventually used his master key to gain access to the room where he sexually assaulted her. On August 14, 2024, Alaska State Troopers arrested 21-year-old Tristen Tinker for Sexual Assault I / II. The investigation is ongoing.
Original: On August 10, 2024, at approximately 1707 hours, Fairbanks AST received a report of a sexual assault in the area of Dale Road. Investigation is ongoing.

On August 14, 2024 at approximately 0925 hours the Alaska State Troopers, the Alaska Bureau of Investigations, the Statewide Drug Enforcement Unit, and Anchorage Police Department contacted Randal Berg, a 67 year old of Wasilla. Randal was arrested pursuant to an active arrest warrant for multiple counts of SAM and Indecent Exposure. Randal was transported to MatSu Pretrial, pending arraignment.
