Brandon is Back in the Most Shocking Way in New "Good Trouble" Promo (1)

From Seventeen

The Fosters might be over, but that doesn't mean we're going to be seeing the last of the Adams Foster family. Earlier this year, Freeform confirmed that they will be premiering a spin-off called Good Trouble, which will follow Callie and Mariana as they move out to Los Angeles and start their adult lives together.

Here's everything you need to know about Good Trouble!

When is Brandon returning to Good Trouble?

Good Trouble is not slowing down with The Fosters cameos and it looks like Brandon is the next of the Foster siblings who will be making an appearance. It's not surprising since Brandon was also living in LA at the end of series, but the way he bumps into Mariana and Callie is SUPER crazy. Watch the new promo below:

When is Jesus returning to Good Trouble?

Noah Centineo's long awaited cameo is finally here and it looks like Jesus will be getting into some good trouble when he visits Callie and Mariana.

Jesus reveals that he has a date with a special someone, but when Callie finds out who it is, she's not really pleased. Check out the new promo below:

Will Good Trouble return for season 2?

The show has only released four episodes so far, but it's proven to be a big hit for the network. As Callie and Mariana continue to navigate their new adult lives, there will definitely be some exciting stuff coming soon now that season 2 is official!

Are there any clips from Good Trouble?

Jesus is finally back in a new clip that Freeform just released. In the video, Mariana shows him around her new office, while also explaining that things aren't always what they seem.

They also released the first trailer for Good Trouble and it looks like Callie and Mariana will be struggling as they move out on their own to go to Los Angeles. You might have to look closely at some of the scenes in order to find out what kind of trouble they'll be getting into.

Also, our favorite moms are back as they visit the girls in their new apartment, although, they're not entirely happy with their new apartment. Check it out below:

Freeform previously shared a clip from the show's premiere, showing the two sisters at odds over what apartment they should get together.

What has the returning cast been saying about Good Trouble?

While the cast has been staying pretty quiet on what to expect in the new series, Noah Centineo opened up to Seventeen and shared what's coming up next with Jesus.

"He’s definitely older. What I like about it is that the relationships among the characters are now far more a portrayal and a parallel for the relationship of the people [acting them]," he told Seventeen. "We’ve all been around each other for so long and we know each other by now. And it’s similar with the characters like, at one point, when a sibling might’ve been upset with another sibling because of something they did, after, 20 years or 22 years of it, you’re like, ‘ah, that’s just the way they are,’ and it doesn’t bother you so much."

He also talked about what it felt like going back on set and seeing everyone again.

"It was like going home for the holidays. Honestly, I love them [Cierra Ramirez and Maia Mitchell] so much, and [series creators] Peter [Paige], Bradley [Bredeweg], and Joanna [Johnson]," he told Seventeen. "It's such a family. And going back there and being able to work with family just felt so natural. I wanted to do more [than two episodes]."

While the show has the same cast and crew returning, Noah revealed that the show won't exactly be the same as The Fosters fans might expect.

"There’s a lot of maturity in the show. You can expect the same Callie fighting for justice and Mariana fighting for herself and her rights. There are so many great messages in Good Trouble," Noah told Seventeen. "I’m just excited to be a part of it. Oh, and it’s kind of completely different, but in the best way possible."

When will Good Trouble premiere?

Good news everyone! Seventeen can officially share that Good Trouble will premiere on Freeform in January 8, 2019. Freeform also released a special clip of Callie and Mariana arriving at their new apartment complex.

Seventeen also got to premiere the first few clips of the show featuring Mariana and Callie heading off to LA on their own. “We’ve gotta find out where they belong in the world,” Creator and Executive Producer Joanna Johnson shared.

The show's executive producers also share what we can expect from the show's first season.

“When it became clear that The Fosters was coming to the end of its run, the first idea that anybody pitched was Mariana and Callie making greatness of their lives," said Creator and Executive Producer Peter Paige. "They settle in LA thinking they’ve got it made and it turns out things are not gonna to be quite as perfect as they had planned.”

“If you love The Fosters, you’re gonna love this show,” Paige said. Check out the video below!

According to Freeform, the first season will have 13 episodes. Crazy Rich Asians and Step Up director Jon M. Chu will be directing the first episode of the series and it was written by The Fosters writers Joanna Johnson, Peter Paige, and Bradley Bredeweg.

What is Good Trouble about?

Good Trouble follows Callie and Mariana as they move out of the Fosters home and go to Los Angeles to chase their respective careers. They move into an apartment complex called The Coterie and meet their neighbors that come from different backgrounds who are also following their dreams. Callie starts to work for a judge while Mariana tries to find her place in the male-dominated tech world.

Maia Mitchell also opened up about the series in an interview with Her Campus.

"It takes place about a year after-right after where the finale of The Fosters left us. So, Callie and Mariana have relocated to Los Angeles. They’re living downtown and they’re kind of lost. They have a lot of new roommates, and there’s going to be a lot of new characters," she said. "Callie is a first-year law clerk, so she’s working for a conservative judge, which she’s going to kind of struggle with and kind of try to reconcile throughout the season. And Mariana is working at a tech startup and kind of fighting the patriarchy. It’s quite political."

Maia also said that fans of the original series shouldn't worry as it will definitely have some OG themes and feels.

"You’re going to see, basically, the heart of The Fosters and what was so relatable about The Fosters, just through a different lens. I’m really excited about it. We’re about a month into shooting, and it’s so much fun," she told Her Campus. "This new cast is so talented and there’s also some of the cast from our Fosters family as well. So, it’s really exciting, and I’m really looking forward to it."

For both Callie and Mariana, their big move to Los Angeles will be a big awakening for them as they start their adult lives.

""You can come out of college as a hot shot, straight-As, graduate at the top of your class, but you’re still going to start at the bottom of the ladder. That often is a rude awakening,” executive producer Joanna Johnson told Entertainment Weekly. "They’re both really struggling with that, as well as where they’re going to live, where they can afford to live, paying bills for the first time."

Who are the new characters?

There are lots of exciting new characters that will be joining Callie and Mariana on their new adventures. Here are some of them that have been confirmed so far:

Gael (played by Tommy Martinez): Gael is "a socially conscious and politically active graphic designer" who lives in the same apartment complex as Callie and Mariana.

Malika (played by Zuri Adele): She is a whip-smart former foster kid with a passion for social justice.

Alice (played by Sherry Cola): A first-generation Asian American who manages the apartment complex.

Judge Wilson (played by Roger Bart): The conservative judge that Callie is clerking for.

Davia (played by Emma Hunton): A no holds barred teacher who also lives at The Coterie.

Benjamin (played by Ken Kirby): A conservative fellow clerk who works with Callie.

Kira Kosarin will also be appearing in an episode as Aria, a girl who visits another resident in Callie and Mariana's apartment complex.

Some other The Fosters' cast members will be returning.

The entire Adams-Foster family is officially coming back. David Lambert is coming back as Brandon Foster and will appear in at least one episode of the show, according to Good Trouble's Twitter page.

It's not that surprising to see Brandon returning, especially since he also moved to Los Angeles, where Callie and Mariana will be making their new home in the series.

Jesus also couldn't stay away from his twin sister for too long. Noah Centineo just revealed that he will be returning for two episodes of Good Trouble. He even posted a sweet video on his Instagram with their big reunion.

Noah has been staying busy recently, especially after starring in Netflix's latest hit To All The Boys I've Loved Before. He will also star in Sierra Burgess is a Loser, along with Stranger Things star Shannon Purser.

- The Fosters (@TheFostersTV) August 20, 2018

Hayden Byerly will be returning as Jude as a special guest star in Good Trouble. It's unknown how many episodes he will be appearing in, but it's not surprising to see Jude and Callie reuniting in Los Angeles.

Deadline also reports that Teri Polo and Sherri Saum will make an appearance. Polo and Saum played Stef and Lena in the original series, the parents to the large Foster clan. They will appear in two episodes of Good Trouble as Callie and Mariana struggle after a big move to Los Angeles.

While Callie and Mariana might be moving to a new city, that doesn't mean we'll be seeing the last of the rest of the Adams Foster clan. "Part of the entire reason we wanted to do a spin-off was to keep the family alive," executive producer Peter Paige told Entertainment Weekly.

Paige said that it's very likely we'll see more of Brandon, as he is also in LA. He also said that everyone else will come back for an appearance or two, when and if the time is right. "We plan to have all characters from the original series make guest appearances," said Freeform's Karey Burke.

Troian Bellisario is Directing One of the Episodes.

After directing episodes of Pretty Little Liars and Famous in Love, Troian is returning to Freeform to direct an episode of Good Trouble. Troian made the big announcement on Instagram with a picture of the script for show's sixth episode, called "Swipe Right."

Day one. Let’s do this.

How will moving to LA affect Callie and Mariana?

A big move can be scary for almost anyone, so it's no surprise to hear that Mariana is going to be feeling a little bit lost when she goes to Los Angeles for her first big job.

"I think moving to a new city and feeling like you have everything together, their dreams of that get crushed really quick when you don’t get handed things. You really have to work for them. I think Mariana has an idea of what her work experience is going to be like, and it’s just the complete opposite," Cierra Ramirez told Hollywood Life. "She’s going to kind of struggle this season finding her place in the tech world, as a Latina woman in tech. You’re going find her trying to fight the patriarchy but also kind of knowing her place in this work world where she’s trying to get ahead. You know Mariana doesn’t take no for an answer. If there’s something wrong in her life, she’s going to fix it. I’m excited for people to see that.”

While fans of The Fosters might be thinking that things will be completely different with this new series, Cierra says that it'll still feel the same, but have a bit more of an edge to it thanks to the 5 year jump.

"It’s more relevant than ever, but it is a lot edgier and sexier. You’ll see these girls in a way that you’ve never seen them before," she said. "Mariana’s 22, Callie’s 23-24, but it’s really fun. It feels different, but it feels the same. It’s really weird."

Will Callie and Mariana have new love interests?

The girls will certainly be having some fun in their new home in LA. The Coterie has a rooftop pool that will be a hotspot for everyone who lives there, including to their super hot neighbor Gael, who they'll both be interested in.

"The girls are taken by this guy," says executive producer Joanna Johnson told Entertainment Weekly. According to Johnson, both of them will be interested in him at first. "He’s not only just handsome, but really charming."

However, that doesn't mean that Callie and Mariana won't have some people from their past coming back. She confirmed that Jamie (played by Beau Mirchoff) will be returning and we'll be seeing him with Callie.

"He’s definitely in the picture with Callie," Johnson said. "He comes in the third episode, I believe."

Are there are pictures from Good Trouble yet?

Production started in early June and the cast has been sharing some behind-the-scenes photos on social media.

Today I wrapped my very first episode as a series regular on a sold series with the most amazing group of people, on a show and in an atmosphere that surpasses my dreams and prayers. On top of that, we are standing on the shoulders of @thefosterstv, which saved my life in many ways and reminded me and the world that my liberated love is Agape love, that my life matters, and that love is the answer to everything. To be working with and nurtured by the creators of this bold and necessary project is a blessing beyond my human understanding. When I envisioned my best life, I got excited, and yet, it still did not compare to what I am feeling now. Love/Truth/God/The Most High goes above and beyond what we can ask or imagine when we stay Spirit-led. I am truly living my most inspired life and I am so grateful. I love my job. I love my purpose. I thank Love for everything that molded me for this chapter. And so it is. #goodtrouble
